Morning, Host and Fits!
Hope your Sunday is off to a good start. Mine – not so good. I could not drag myself out of bed this ad when the alarm went off, fell asleep again, and woke up two hours later. Consequences? Workouts are postponed. I am a morning exerciser, but being on holiday totally messes everything up for me. Oh, and I need to head to bed earlier.
Like I said, yesterday I headed to the mega family shopping center known as Ikea because they were having a massive Christmas sale, and well, we really didn’t have anything else to do.
I was surprised at the amount of people there. After all, it was the day after Christmas and its still the weekend.
We left with no furniture (cause we didn’t need any, although one of my home dwellers was seriously tempted to buy something) but we did buy some food. See, the youngest home dweller in this house hold is currently obsessed with Köttbullar, which are Swedish Meatballs
So we got a bunch of these, and of course, they would be incomplete without the following:
- Lingonberry jam
The final dish ended up looking like this:
*My youngest home dweller was in heaven*
I am not a big meat-eater (and also not a vegetarian, just hanging somewhere in there) but I did have my fair share of the jam.
Fun IKEA facts
- IKEA is an acronym comprising the initials of the founder’s name (Ingvar Kamprad), the farm where he grew up (Elmtaryd), and his home parish (Agunnaryd, in Southern Sweden)
- Kamprad was 17 years old when he founded IKEA in 1943
- The Kamprad family is now controlling the company from The Netherlands, where its headquarters are located
Off to do a whole lot of nothing, and then workout!
